In September 2021 TikTok turned it into a tradition to welcome spring in the southern hemisphere, on September 21.
The problem: in Mexico and Central America September isn’t spring, it’s autumn. So many Mexicans adapted the trend to their calendar and started giving yellow flowers on March 21 too, when spring arrives in the northern hemisphere. Same song, same idea, different season.
