Some dates belong to everyone, like Valentine’s Day or the yellow flowers of September 21, and others only make sense in one country: Sant Jordi in Catalonia, the Day of the Dead and Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico, or Amor y Amistad in Colombia. Mother’s Day is the best example: the first Sunday of May in Spain, May 10 in Mexico, the second Sunday of May in Colombia, Chile and Peru, and the third Sunday of October in Argentina.
