In Valencia, the Fallas also have their floral moment: the Offering to Our Lady of the Forsaken, on the 17th and 18th, when thousands of falleras bring bouquets that are arranged to form a giant mantle. It isn’t a gift between people, but it is one of the biggest gatherings of flowers of the year in Spain.

Tips for the month
March is the best month to buy tulips in Spain: they are in full season and cheap. If you mix them with daffodils, first leave the daffodils on their own in water for a few hours, because the sap they release shortens the life of other flowers.
